जालना में खुले में जैव-चिकित्सीय कचरा फेंकने पर अस्पताल पर जुर्माना, महानगर पालिका ने दी सख्त चेतावनी
जालना: शहर महानगरपालिका के स्वच्छता विभाग ने चंदनझिरा क्षेत्र में बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए डॉ. प्रदीप डी. सोनवणे अस्पताल पर खुले में जैव-चिकित्सीय कचरा फेंकने के मामले में ₹5,000 का जुर्माना लगाया। महानगर पालिका ने स्पष्ट किया कि जैव-चिकित्सीय कचरा प्रबंधन (मार्गदर्शक सिद्धांत) 2016 के तहत इस तरह का कचरा खुले में फेंकना गंभीर अपराध है।
स्वच्छता विभाग की कार्रवाई
प्रभाग मुकादम शुभम रमेश जाधव के अनुसार, अस्पताल परिसर के पास बड़ी मात्रा में खून से सने पट्टियां, इंजेक्शन की सुइयां, दवाइयों के पैकेट और अन्य मेडिकल वेस्ट खुले में पड़ा मिला। इसकी सूचना मिलते ही स्वच्छता विभाग की टीम ने मौके पर पहुंचकर जांच की और अस्पताल प्रशासन को नोटिस जारी कर तत्काल ₹5,000 का दंड वसूला।
सुप्रिया चव्हाण की चेतावनी
सहायक आयुक्त सुप्रिया चव्हाण ने कहा कि जैव-चिकित्सीय कचरे का गलत निस्तारण न केवल आम जनता के लिए संक्रमण का खतरा बढ़ाता है, बल्कि यह आवारा पशुओं के लिए भी घातक साबित हो सकता है। कई बार देखा गया है कि ऐसे कचरे को खाने से मवेशियों की मौत हो जाती है।
अस्पतालों और क्लीनिकों के लिए निर्देश
उन्होंने सभी निजी और सरकारी अस्पतालों, क्लीनिकों, पैथोलॉजी लैब और दवाखानों से अपील की कि वे जैव-चिकित्सीय कचरे का निस्तारण केवल अधिकृत एजेंसियों के माध्यम से ही करें। महानगर पालिका ने चेतावनी दी है कि भविष्य में यदि किसी भी चिकित्सा संस्थान द्वारा नियमों का उल्लंघन किया गया तो उस पर और भी भारी जुर्माना लगाया जाएगा तथा जरूरत पड़ने पर लाइसेंस रद्द करने की कार्यवाही भी की जाएगी।
पूर्व कार्रवाई और नागरिकों की भूमिका
गौरतलब है कि इसी वर्ष फरवरी में भी जालना महानगर पालिका ने शहर के तीन निजी अस्पतालों पर इसी तरह खुले में मेडिकल वेस्ट फेंकने पर कार्रवाई करते हुए ₹10,000 से अधिक का जुर्माना वसूला था। उस समय भी नागरिकों ने शिकायत की थी कि खुले में पड़ा मेडिकल वेस्ट बच्चों और बुजुर्गों के लिए संक्रमण का कारण बन रहा है।
महानगर पालिका ने आम नागरिकों से भी अपील की है कि यदि कहीं खुले में जैव-चिकित्सीय कचरा पड़ा दिखाई दे, तो तुरंत स्वच्छता विभाग को इसकी सूचना दें। प्रशासन ने आश्वासन दिया है कि ऐसी शिकायतों पर तत्काल कार्रवाई की जाएगी ताकि शहर में स्वच्छ और सुरक्षित वातावरण बनाए रखा जा सके।
