In a powerful display of solidarity and compassion, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has extended a royal invitation to 1,000 Palestinians—relatives of martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded—to perform Hajj in 2025 as honored guests under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program.
This initiative, personally funded by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, aims to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian families affected by decades of conflict and occupation. The program is being overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, which has put in place a comprehensive system to support the guests during their pilgrimage, including travel, accommodations, health care, and spiritual guidance.
Earlier this week, 500 pilgrims from Gaza arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, where they were warmly welcomed and transported to Makkah. They were later joined by additional pilgrims from the West Bank, completing the group of 1,000.
The Palestinian pilgrims expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Kingdom and King Salman, praising the initiative as a humanitarian and spiritual lifeline. Many stated that this opportunity fulfills a lifelong dream, made possible only through this royal initiative.
Since its establishment in 1996, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program has hosted more than 64,000 pilgrims from various Muslim countries, emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in promoting Islamic unity and compassion.
Meanwhile, in preparation for Hajj 2025, the Saudi government has rolled out enhanced safety protocols, including the deployment of AI-powered drones, heat mitigation technology, and advanced crowd control systems, to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage for over a million worshippers expected to gather in the holy cities.
This royal gesture further solidifies Saudi Arabia’s role as a central figure in the Islamic world, continuously extending support to oppressed communities and strengthening the bonds of the global Muslim Ummah.
