“प्यासे मरें और शहर का नल बहे” — जालना में जल संकट के बीच पाईपलाइन फूटी, लाखों लीटर पानी सड़कों पर बहा
जालना: जहां एक ओर जालना शहर भीषण जलसंकट से जूझ रहा है, वहीं दूसरी ओर मनपा प्रशासन की लापरवाही ने स्थिति को और भी गंभीर बना दिया है। स्टेशन रोड स्थित नीलम टॉकीज के पास जलापूर्ति करने वाली मुख्य पाइप लाइन फूट गई, जिससे लाखों लीटर कीमती पानी सड़कों पर बह गया। यह घटना ऐसे समय में हुई है जब शहर को पहले से ही 15 दिनों के अंतराल पर पानी मिल रहा है।
शहर को जायकवाडी से पानी की आपूर्ति की जाती है, लेकिन इस वर्ष जलस्तर बेहद कम है और पूरे जिले पर सूखे की छाया है। ऐसे में पाइपलाइन फूटना और लाखों लीटर पानी का यूं सड़कों पर बह जाना नागरिकों के लिए किसी दुःस्वप्न से कम नहीं।
“पानी-पानी हर तरफ, लेकिन प्यास बुझाने को कुछ नहीं”
स्थानीय नागरिकों ने बताया कि पाइप फूटने के बाद घंटों तक पानी बहता रहा और सड़कों पर नदियों जैसी स्थिति बन गई। दोपहर की कड़क धूप में सड़कों पर जगह-जगह पानी जमा हो गया था, जिसे देखकर लोगों की नाराजगी साफ झलक रही थी। नागरिकों का कहना है कि यह पहली बार नहीं है — हर वर्ष गर्मियों में यही हाल होता है और जल विभाग की ढुलमुल कार्यप्रणाली के कारण बार-बार पाइपलाइन फटती रहती है।
शहरवासियों में आक्रोश
महापालिका की इस लापरवाही पर नागरिकों ने तीव्र नाराजगी जताई है। कई परिवार पहले ही टैंकर या जार से पानी खरीदने को मजबूर हैं। ऐसे में पानी जैसी अनमोल संसाधन की इस तरह की बर्बादी लोगों के घावों पर नमक छिड़कने जैसा है। गर्मी के दिनों में जब हर बूंद कीमती होती है, ऐसे में लाखों लीटर पानी का बह जाना नागरिकों के साथ अन्याय है।
प्रशासन का दावा: दुरुस्ती का काम जारी
महापालिका के जलापूर्ति विभाग के अधिकारियों ने जानकारी दी है कि पाइपलाइन की मरम्मत का कार्य युद्धस्तर पर शुरू कर दिया गया है और जल्द ही आपूर्ति पुनः सुचारु की जाएगी। लेकिन नागरिकों की मांग है कि हर साल होने वाली इस तरह की घटनाओं पर स्थायी समाधान निकाला जाए।
जरूरत है जवाबदेही की
हर साल जालना शहर जल संकट से कराहता है। जब लोग पीने के पानी के लिए घंटों इंतजार करते हैं, तब लाखों लीटर पानी का व्यर्थ बहना सिर्फ तकनीकी चूक नहीं, बल्कि मानवता के खिलाफ अपराध जैसा प्रतीत होता है। अब समय आ गया है कि नगर प्रशासन अपनी जिम्मेदारी को गंभीरता से ले और जल प्रबंधन में दीर्घकालिक सुधार करें।
