Nagpur: A couple and their four-year-old son were killed after a trailer struck their motorcycle from behind near Gawasi-Manapur in the Jamtha area on the Nagpur-Wardha road. Their six-year-old son was seriously injured and was being treated at AIIMS Nagpur, according to current reports.
The deceased were identified as Yogesh Naik, his wife Sunita Naik and their four-year-old son Gulshan. The family was originally from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh and had been living in the Nagpur area for work.
Driver reportedly fled
Reports said the trailer driver left the scene after the collision and police were searching for him. The exact circumstances and legal responsibility remain subject to investigation.
The crash again raises concerns about the vulnerability of families travelling on two-wheelers on corridors used heavily by commercial vehicles.
