Thane: Three people have been arrested as the Thane Crime Branch continues investigating the killing of Shiv Sena (UBT) Manpada division chief Pradeep alias Balu Purnekar.
Investigators are searching for a firearm and sharp-edged weapon allegedly used in the attack and are questioning the arrested suspects about their alleged roles, the motive and possible involvement of others.

Witness statements have been recorded and investigators have questioned people connected with the case. Various possible motives have been reported, but police have not yet established a final motive publicly.
