Pune: One person was killed and four others injured after a cement-laden truck allegedly rammed several vehicles near Lavale Phata on the Pune-Kolad road in Mulshi.
Police identified the deceased as Laxman Narayan Kubal, 52, of Pirangut. According to preliminary information, the truck collided with a goods vehicle and a parked dumper before striking two motorcycles travelling towards Pune.
Cause under investigation
Investigators are examining whether brake failure, speed or another factor contributed to the crash. Two injured people were reported to be in critical condition.
Emergency teams removed damaged vehicles and debris after the collision disrupted traffic. Legal responsibility will depend on the police investigation and mechanical examination.
