Nashik: Police have registered a case after a driver allegedly assaulted a traffic warden and threatened him with a knife after being asked to stop in Nashik.
The confrontation reportedly began during traffic-control duty when the warden attempted to stop the vehicle. Police are investigating the alleged assault and threat and the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
Safety of traffic personnel
Traffic wardens and police regularly work in moving traffic and face heightened risk when routine enforcement turns confrontational. An attack on personnel performing traffic duties also raises wider concerns about compliance and road discipline.
The allegations have not yet been established in court, and legal responsibility will be determined through investigation and judicial proceedings.
