The UK Rail Accident Investigation Branch has appointed Andy Lewis as its new Chief Inspector.
The appointment was announced on September 29. GOV.UK said Lewis will take up the permanent leadership role following a competitive process.
The Rail Accident Investigation Branch investigates serious railway accidents and incidents and makes recommendations intended to improve rail safety.
