Britain is introducing a new refugee resettlement route with priority expected for Afghan women and girls and Palestinian refugees.

The Home Office said the UK Resettlement Scheme has reopened for new referrals. GOV.UK published the announcement on September 28.

The scheme uses established referral mechanisms and is separate from ordinary asylum applications made after arrival in the UK.
