UK authorities made 49 arrests during a three-day operation targeting people-smuggling networks around the Irish border.
The Home Office said the operation involved ports, airports, roads and rail networks across Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. GOV.UK reported that the action was conducted from September 22 to 24.
The government said more than 250 organised criminals and immigration offenders have been arrested since the election under the wider operation, with 113 removed.
