Research the employer and role
Read the job description and note the main responsibilities and required skills. Review the employer’s official website and understand what the organisation does. Use verified sources rather than relying on an anonymous social post as your only information.
Prepare examples and practise
Prepare short examples about teamwork, solving a problem, learning quickly or handling a difficult situation. Explain the situation, your responsibility, the action you took and the result or lesson. Examples can come from a job, college assignment, volunteering or a personal project, as long as your role is described honestly.
Plan logistics and questions
For an in-person interview, confirm the address, route and reporting time. For an online interview, test your connection, microphone, camera and meeting link. Prepare questions about priorities, training, team structure and next steps. Practise answers to “Tell me about yourself” and “Why this role?” without memorising a rigid script.
Follow up safely
Send a brief thank-you message if appropriate and continue applying elsewhere until you have reviewed a written offer. Be cautious if anyone demands money to guarantee a job or asks for OTPs or banking credentials. The [National Career Service](https://www.ncs.gov.in/) is one source for job-search support.
