Write a clear headline and summary
Your headline should explain your field, current role or learning focus rather than only saying you are seeking an opportunity. In the summary, explain what you study or do, relevant strengths and the kind of work you want to explore. Use plain language and concrete examples.
Describe experience honestly
Include paid work, internships, volunteering, student leadership and relevant projects where appropriate. Explain your own contribution and the result. Be clear when work was completed as part of a team. Never invent job titles, clients, degrees, certificates or employment dates.
Show evidence and check privacy
Add skills you can demonstrate and connect them to projects or coursework. Link to a portfolio only if it is professional and safe to share. Review profile visibility and contact settings, use a unique password and enable two-factor authentication.
Use the platform thoughtfully
A profile can help people understand your background but cannot guarantee interviews. Be cautious of recruiters asking for money, OTPs or bank details, and verify vacancies through an employer’s official website.
