Match roles to your skills
Remote roles may include customer support, software development, design, writing, bookkeeping, online teaching or sales. Requirements vary. Match opportunities to your skills, language, equipment and available hours instead of applying to every listing promising easy income.
Verify the employer and vacancy
Check the company’s official website and careers page. Look for a matching company email domain and a job description that explains duties, hours and pay. If a message claims to represent a known company, contact it through independently verified details.
Never pay to secure a job
Be cautious of registration fees, refundable deposits, paid training required to unlock a role or penalties for not completing unrealistic tasks. Never provide OTPs, UPI PINs, banking passwords or remote-access codes. Read the contract and confirm payment timing, work hours, equipment and whether the role is employment or freelance.
Use safer starting points
The [National Career Service](https://www.ncs.gov.in/) portal can help job seekers explore services and vacancies, but verify each listing. If you suspect recruitment fraud, preserve evidence and report it through the [National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal](https://cybercrime.gov.in/). Contact your bank promptly if money has been transferred.
