WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Tuesday unveiled America.gov, a government artificial-intelligence chatbot intended to help Americans navigate federal services and information.

The launch comes as the administration promotes wider use of AI across government. Trump said the United States is leading in AI development and that the government should not unnecessarily restrict the technology.
At the same time, major AI executives have been discussing safety measures and the pace of development. OpenAI President Greg Brockman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei were among technology leaders expected at the White House.
