NEW YORK: Artificial-intelligence company Anthropic is planning a massive expansion of computing infrastructure as it prepares for a potential public listing.

Reuters reported that Anthropic expects to spend at least $518 billion over a decade on AI infrastructure through agreements with six partners, according to a confidential IPO prospectus seen by the news agency.
The planned investment illustrates the enormous computing, energy and data-center requirements associated with developing and operating advanced AI models.
