BEIJING, September 29, 2026: China is moving to further ease market access and expand digital trade as part of its broader effort to strengthen international economic cooperation.
Premier Li Qiang said China would continue opening its markets and improving the environment for businesses at the Fifth Global Digital Trade Expo. The government has highlighted cross-border e-commerce, digital services and international cooperation as areas for further development.
China State Council Information Office reported that Li called for greater openness and cooperation in digital trade.
Digital economy focus
China is seeking to expand digital consumption and cross-border e-commerce while encouraging companies to develop new digital products and services.
