जालना शहर में आवारा कुत्तों की समस्या अब खतरनाक स्तर तक पहुँच चुकी है। गुरुवार, 8 मई को सुबह करीब 11 बजे नगर निगम कार्यालय परिसर में एक आवारा कुत्ता न सिर्फ भीतर घुस आया, बल्कि काम के लिए आए नागरिकों पर भौंकते हुए अफरा-तफरी मचा दी। इस घटना ने नगर प्रशासन की तैयारियों और सुरक्षा दावों की असलियत उजागर कर दी है।
महापालिका कार्यालय भी असुरक्षित
जो नगर प्रशासन शहरभर में आवारा कुत्तों पर नियंत्रण की बातें करता है, वह खुद अपने ही कार्यालय को इन खतरनाक जानवरों से नहीं बचा पा रहा। यह घटना इस बात का प्रतीक है कि अब आवारा कुत्ते न केवल सड़कों पर बल्कि प्रशासनिक दफ्तरों में भी बेधड़क घूम रहे हैं।
गांधीनगर की दुखद घटना के बाद भी कोई सबक नहीं
अभी कुछ दिन पहले गांधीनगर क्षेत्र में आवारा कुत्तों के हमले में एक 8 वर्षीय बच्ची की दर्दनाक मौत हुई थी। इस घटना से पूरा शहर आक्रोशित था, लेकिन अब नगर निगम कार्यालय में ही कुत्तों का यूं आना और लोगों को डराना, इस बात का संकेत है कि प्रशासन ने अब तक कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं की।
आयुक्त के टेंडर को भी खुली चुनौती
नगर आयुक्त संतोष खांडेकर ने हाल ही में आवारा कुत्तों पर नियंत्रण के लिए टेंडर जारी करने की घोषणा की थी। लेकिन अब जब कुत्ते खुद नगर निगम परिसर में आकर नागरिकों को डरा रहे हैं, तो यह प्रशासन की नाकामी और उनके प्रयासों की प्रभावशीलता पर बड़ा सवाल है। यह घटना मानो प्रशासन को खुलेआम चुनौती दे रही हो।
निष्कर्ष
आवारा कुत्तों की बढ़ती संख्या और उनकी आक्रामकता अब नागरिकों के जीवन के लिए खतरा बन चुकी है। यदि नगर प्रशासन ने जल्द कोई कारगर कदम नहीं उठाया, तो अगली बड़ी घटना किसी भी समय किसी भी स्थान पर घट सकती है।
