CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: For 23,287 farmers in the district, a crucial loan-waiver benefit is still waiting on one digital step: Aadhaar e-KYC. The district administration has urged affected farmers to complete authentication immediately so eligible relief can be credited.
₹698.93 crore already credited
Official data cited in current reporting shows that 93,268 farmers have benefited across three phases under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmers’ Loan Waiver Scheme 2026, with ₹698.93 crore credited toward loan accounts. The remaining cases show how documentation can become decisive even after a welfare scheme is announced.
Beneficiary information has been displayed at bank branches, cooperative societies, Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendras, gram panchayats, talathi offices and assistant registrar offices. Farmers whose names appear should complete the required authentication through authorised channels.
Why this matters during drought
The delay is particularly significant because the district is simultaneously facing drought and water stress. For farm families managing crop losses and rising input pressure, timely debt relief can directly affect their ability to plan the rabi season.
