Nagpur Drought: Banks Told Not to Visit Farmers’ Homes for Crop Loan Recovery

Banks and credit societies in Maharashtra have been told not to send employees to farmers’ homes for crop-loan recovery during the drought.

The directive was discussed at a drought-relief cabinet subcommittee meeting chaired by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. Officials said 265 talukas face drought conditions.

Authorities are also reviewing water, fodder and crop conditions. More Maharashtra news.
