KOZHIKODE: Police have arrested a 38-year-old man after seizing 600.21 grams of suspected MDMA from a lodge in Kozhikode during a joint anti-narcotics operation.
Joint police operation
The operation involved the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force and Medical College police. The arrested man was identified by police as Muhammad Shafi of Malappuram.
Investigators allege that the substance was procured from outside Kerala for distribution in Kozhikode. The source and intended distribution network are being investigated.
Case remains under investigation
The nature and quantity of seized substances are subject to forensic and legal procedures, and guilt must be determined by a court.
