Asian Games 2026 weightlifting: China’s Olympic champion Li Wenwen finally captured her first Asian Games gold in the women’s heaviest category at Aichi-Nagoya.

Li lifted 140kg in the snatch and 170kg in the clean and jerk for a 310kg total. Both individual lifts set new Asian Games records, according to Reuters.

South Korea’s Park Hye-jeong took silver with 300kg, while Qatar’s Ouisal Ikhlef won bronze with 273kg. The result added another major weightlifting title to Li’s Olympic achievements.
