India’s athletics campaign is gathering momentum at the Asian Games 2026, with medals already secured and several more events scheduled for September 25.

Relay silver and 10,000m bronze

India won silver in the mixed 4x400m relay, while Seema Kumari earned bronze in the women’s 10,000m.

Indian sprinters reach 100m semifinals

Animesh Kujur and Gurindervir Singh qualified for the men’s 100m semifinals. Their semifinal races are among Friday’s most closely watched track events.

Field-event medal opportunities

India also has athletes in women’s shot put and pole vault, alongside other track-and-field events as the athletics programme expands.
