The United States has imposed new sanctions on 10 people and entities linked by Washington to Iran’s military supply network.
The targets are based in Iran, Hong Kong and Pakistan, according to the Associated Press. The Treasury Department said the action is intended to disrupt financial and procurement channels supporting Iran’s defense sector.
Sanctions amid regional tensions
The measures come as Washington and Tehran remain involved in an uncertain diplomatic process while the wider regional conflict continues to affect energy markets.
The latest action adds another layer to the extensive US sanctions regime already targeting Iran.
