US Oil Prices Rise as Trump Denies Plans to Ease Iran Sanctions

US oil markets moved higher on September 30 after President Donald Trump denied that he was willing to ease sanctions on Iran, adding uncertainty to the outlook for global crude supplies.

Reuters reported Brent crude at $103.73 a barrel and US West Texas Intermediate at $89.72 early Wednesday.

Energy markets watch Iran talks

Qatar is mediating indirect discussions between Washington and Tehran while traders monitor Middle Eastern supply. US officials are also considering measures affecting diesel exports and domestic fuel prices.
