Aldi UK plans to invest £900 million in Britain during 2027, including 40 new stores and expansion of its distribution network.

The discount supermarket currently operates 1,092 stores and plans to open another 30 over the next 10 weeks. Reuters reported that Aldi’s UK market share was 10.6% in September.

The company says it has spent £340 million on price reductions this year as British households continue to face food-cost pressures.
