US Stocks Slide as Treasury Yields Reach Multi-Year Highs

NEW YORK: U.S. stocks moved lower on Tuesday as rising Treasury yields and elevated oil prices pressured markets.

Reuters reported that the 10-year Treasury yield reached about 5.28%, while the 30-year yield reached levels not seen since 2002. The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all traded lower.

Oil prices remained a major market focus as investors assessed geopolitical risks and their possible impact on inflation and Federal Reserve policy.
