Reuters reported that Pennsylvania has separately reported four measles-related deaths that are not yet included in the CDC’s official count. The agency is working with state epidemiologists to standardize how measles-related deaths are verified.

The CDC said its tally may change as additional cases and deaths are reviewed. Health authorities continue to monitor outbreaks and vaccination coverage.
