जालना शहर में लगभग 60 हजार की संख्या में राजस्थानी और व्यापारी समाज निवास करता है। यह वर्ग लोकसभा और विधानसभा चुनावों में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाता रहा है और विभिन्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक गतिविधियों में शहर की रीढ़ माना जाता है। समाज के लोगों का कहना है कि अब समय आ गया है कि इस समुदाय को नगर निगम की नेतृत्वकारी भूमिका में प्रतिनिधित्व मिले।
📢 समाज की स्पष्ट मांग
राजस्थानी समाज के प्रतिनिधियों ने स्पष्ट रूप से मांग की है कि शहर के विकास में निरंतर योगदान, प्रशासनिक अनुभव और सामाजिक प्रतिनिधित्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए इस बार उपमहापौर पद राजस्थानी समाज को दिया जाना चाहिए। उनके अनुसार, अजय (जगदीश) भरतिया इस पद के लिए सबसे योग्य और स्वीकार्य नाम हैं।
