According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 3 p.m., Khairatabad recorded a rainfall of 14.5 mm followed by 12.8 mm in Monda market, 11.8 mm in Bansilalpet, 7.5 mm in Chilkalguda, 6 mm in Amberpet, 5.8 mm in Uppal, 5 mm in Kukatpally and 4.8 mm in Srinagar Colony.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar urged people to be cautious as the Weather Department has forecast heavy rains until the night. “Do not travel unless it is an emergency. Don’t step out of your home,” he appealed through a post on X around 3.00 p.m., urging people who are out to wrap up work before rain intensifies and reach home safely. He said traveling through waterlogged areas, low-lying areas at the risk of flooding is unsafe.
