Diwali Travel Relief: Special Trains to Link Nagpur With Mumbai and Pune

NAGPUR: Festival-season passengers will get additional rail options as Central Railway runs special trains connecting Nagpur with Mumbai and Pune during October and November.

Mumbai-Nagpur and Nagpur-Hadapsar services

A weekly superfast special between CSMT and Nagpur is scheduled across the festive period, while Nagpur-Hadapsar services will provide additional capacity toward Pune on multiple days each week.

The extra trains are intended to absorb demand around Diwali, Durga Puja and Chhath, when regular services often see heavy waitlists.

Passengers should verify schedules before travel

Travellers should check current train numbers, dates, stops and booking status through official Indian Railways channels before departure, as special-train timings can differ from regular services.
