₹575.79 Crore Ambedkar Super-Speciality Hospital Takes Shape in Nagpur’s Indora

Nagpur, Maharashtra

NAGPUR: Work has begun on the ₹575.79-crore Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar super-speciality hospital at Indora, a major public-health project planned with 615 beds.

Target completion in 2028

The project is expected to expand access to advanced medical care in Nagpur and the wider Vidarbha region. Current plans envisage completion around June 2028.

Large public hospitals can reduce pressure on existing tertiary-care facilities, but their success ultimately depends on staffing, equipment, operating budgets and timely completion as much as the construction itself.

Potential regional healthcare impact

Nagpur serves patients from across eastern Maharashtra and neighbouring states. Additional super-speciality capacity could therefore have an impact well beyond municipal boundaries.
