MUMBAI: Police operations in Mumbai and Nalasopara led to the detention of 13 people identified by authorities as Bangladeshi nationals during a recent crackdown on suspected illegal immigration.
Operations conducted over several days
According to police information reported by Mid-Day, the operations took place between September 29 and October 1. Authorities are examining documents, entry circumstances and immigration status in the individual cases.
Because nationality and immigration allegations carry serious legal consequences, each case requires documentary verification and due process. Detention or police suspicion should not be confused with a final judicial finding.
Enforcement and due process
Immigration enforcement involves coordination between local police, central agencies and diplomatic or deportation procedures where applicable. Accurate identification is essential before further action.
