CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: The city’s automobile manufacturing profile has received another boost as Audi India begins local assembly of the all-new Q3 at the Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited plant ahead of the SUV’s scheduled October 16 launch.
Luxury manufacturing with a local footprint
Local assembly is significant for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar because the city has long been one of Maharashtra’s important automotive manufacturing centres. Premium-vehicle production strengthens the industrial ecosystem around component suppliers, logistics, skilled employment and technical services.
The new Q3 will enter a competitive luxury compact-SUV market. For the region, however, the bigger story is the continued utilisation of local manufacturing capacity for global automotive brands.
Industry visibility for Marathwada
Manufacturing announcements of this kind reinforce the city’s importance beyond its tourism identity. Industrial investment can have multiplier effects across engineering education, vendor development and supply-chain employment.
