Texas, October 29, 2026. Taylor Farms has recalled certain H-E-B Backyard BBQ Chop Salad Kits sold in Texas because the product may contain soy and almonds that are not declared on its label, according to a company announcement published by the US Food and Drug Administration on October 27.
Which salad kit is recalled?
The recall applies to H-E-B Backyard BBQ Chop Salad Kit, 13.4 oz, with a Best If Used By date of October 30, 2026 and UPC 041220300457. The affected plastic-bag product was distributed to H-E-B stores in Texas. Consumers should compare both the date and UPC on their package with the official notice.
Why undeclared allergens matter
Soy and tree nuts, including almonds, can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive people. An ingredient that is present but not declared on the packaging can prevent consumers from making a safe choice. The company’s announcement said no adverse reactions had been reported as of October 27.
What customers should do
Do not eat an affected salad kit. Taylor Farms advises consumers to dispose of the product or return it to the store for a full refund. Customers with questions may call Taylor Farms at (855) 455-0098, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific time. Anyone experiencing a severe allergic reaction should seek emergency medical care.
