Reports about the Maharajas’ Express can sometimes combine destinations from different circuits. For the 2026-27 season, Udaipur and Varanasi are not part of the September 30 Treasures of India departure.
Where does Udaipur appear?
Udaipur is included in the longer Indian Splendour and Heritage of India routes. These journeys cover more of Rajasthan and are substantially longer than Treasures of India.
Where does Varanasi appear?
Varanasi is included in the Indian Panorama itinerary. The official route runs through Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, Orchha, Khajuraho and Varanasi before returning to Delhi.
What does September 30 cover?
The first 2026-27 departure on September 30 is Treasures of India, covering Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur. It is a four-day, three-night journey.
Why the distinction matters
Travellers should select their itinerary according to the destinations they want to visit rather than relying on a combined list of Maharajas’ Express attractions. Departure dates and routes should always be checked before booking.
