The Treasures of India journey is the Maharajas’ Express’ compact four-day, three-night itinerary. The official route runs from Delhi to Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur, before returning to Delhi.
Day 1: Delhi to Agra
Guests assemble at Safdarjung Railway Station for check-in before the train departs for Agra. The programme includes the Taj Mahal, followed by an overnight stay aboard the train.
Day 2: Agra to Ranthambore
The second day includes Agra Fort before the train heads toward Ranthambore. Guests can take a game drive in Ranthambore National Park, where tiger sightings are possible but never guaranteed.
Day 3: Jaipur
Jaipur brings the royal heritage element of the journey. Amber Fort is among the principal attractions, followed by a special dinner experience at Rambagh Palace according to the official itinerary.
Day 4: Return to Delhi
The final morning is spent travelling back to Delhi, where the journey concludes at Safdarjung Railway Station.
Why this route is different
Unlike the longer Maharajas’ Express circuits, Treasures of India focuses on a short combination of the Golden Triangle and Ranthambore. Travellers looking for Udaipur or Varanasi need to select other scheduled itineraries.
