Three games on Xbox are winding down their online services before the end of 2026. Call of Duty: Warzone goes offline on Xbox One and PS4 in early November, Synduality: Echo of Ada ends in-game purchases on December 18, and NBA 2K25 servers shut down on December 31, according to a roundup published by Pure Xbox on November 1. If you still play any of them, the clock is ticking. More updates are in our Gaming News section.

Warzone leaves Xbox One and PS4 as Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 arrives
The biggest name on the list is Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision has already confirmed that the free-to-play battle royale is ending support on last-generation consoles. Its support documentation says Warzone stays playable on those systems through the end of Season 06 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
That season’s final battle pass runs until November 5, and Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins on November 6, 2026. Pure Xbox lists November 6 as the switch-off date for Xbox One. Windows Central notes that November 5 is likely the last day to play, though Activision has not printed that exact date itself.
Players on Xbox One and PS4 should know a few things. The in-game store is already disabled on those consoles, so COD Points can no longer be spent there. The game also cannot be freshly downloaded; only people who already have it in their library can reinstall it. Purchases are tied to your Activision account, so content you bought should still be there if you sign in on a current-gen console or PC.
Synduality: Echo of Ada ends purchases first, full closure in 2027
Synduality: Echo of Ada, the online mech extraction shooter, is shutting down in two stages. In-game purchases stop on December 18, 2026. The servers themselves are planned to close completely in May 2027, giving remaining players a few extra months to keep playing without spending more money.
NBA 2K25 servers go dark on New Year’s Eve
NBA 2K25’s online servers shut down on December 31, 2026. Annual sports games usually lose online features a year or two after a newer edition launches, as players move to the latest version. Once the servers close, any modes that depend on an internet connection will stop working.
More closures and delistings coming up
The Pure Xbox roundup also flags a few other dates worth noting. Amazon’s MMO New World: Aeternum closes its servers at the end of January 2027. Street Outlaws and Street Outlaws 2 leave the Xbox Store at the end of December 2026, so anyone who wants to be able to download them later needs to buy them before then. The site also warned that “announcements like these can spring up at the last minute,” so the list may grow.

What should players do? If you play Warzone on an older console, make sure your Activision account is linked so your purchases carry over to a newer platform. For Synduality, avoid buying items you won’t have time to use. And if you want to keep a delisted game, buy it before it leaves the store.
