Saratoga County, New York, September 28, 2026: One pilot was killed when two glider planes collided in mid-air in upstate New York.

New York State Police said one glider landed safely at a nearby airport while the second aircraft crashed in a remote area.
FAA and NTSB notified
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board were notified, and the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
