Ottawa County, Michigan, September 28, 2026: A fiery multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on I-96 killed one passenger and seriously injured the driver early Sunday.
Fatal crash
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said an Infiniti struck an unoccupied pickup before being hit by a semi-truck. The car caught fire.
Investigation continues
The passenger, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. The driver was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
