Technology | NewsNationOnline — Fraudsters may impersonate banks, delivery services, employers or government offices to persuade people to reveal passwords, one-time passwords or payment credentials. Treat unexpected calls and messages demanding urgent action with caution, even when the sender displays a familiar name or logo.
Why this matters
Do not share OTPs, UPI PINs or banking passwords. Open banking services through trusted apps or addresses you enter yourself, rather than unfamiliar links. If money is lost in a suspected cyber fraud in India, report the incident promptly through the national cybercrime reporting system or the 1930 helpline, and contact your bank immediately. Preserve transaction records and screenshots.
