ABUJA: At least 20 people have been killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Nigeria’s north-central Plateau state, according to the Federal Road Safety Commission.

Four vehicles involved

The crash occurred on Friday along the Hawan Kibo-Jos route, a major road linking Plateau with Nigeria’s capital, Abuja. Four vehicles were involved.

Road-safety officials said preliminary findings point to brake failure as the likely cause. The investigation remains subject to further findings.
