India’s fertiliser inventories have reached a two-year high ahead of the 2026-27 rabi season, according to data reported by Business Standard.

Total fertiliser stocks are estimated at 17.01 million tonnes, about 38% higher than last year, while urea inventories have increased more than 54%.

Higher inventories could provide a stronger supply cushion as farmers prepare for the winter cropping season.
