HONG KONG, September 29, 2026: Hong Kong has appointed former Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing executive Bryan Chan as head of Hong Kong Precious Metals Central Clearing Limited, a government-owned entity established to support the city’s precious-metals market.

Hong Kong Precious Metals Central Clearing Limited was established in January and is wholly owned by the Hong Kong government. Its creation forms part of efforts to develop supporting infrastructure for precious-metals trading.
