Washington, September 28, 2026: An FDA advisory panel has reviewed Grail’s Galleri multi-cancer blood test, a test designed to detect signals associated with more than 50 types of cancer.

FDA review

FDA staff documents raised no major concerns about the test’s analytical performance and safety, according to Reuters. The advisory discussion also examined whether available evidence supports describing the test as an early-detection test.

Final decision pending

Galleri is currently available by prescription under existing laboratory regulations but has not received FDA approval as a multi-cancer screening test. A final FDA decision would determine its regulatory status.
