The Athletics Federation of India has said it will challenge the disputed measurement that contributed to Shaili Singh finishing fourth in the women’s long jump at the 2026 Asian Games.

The controversy centres on Singh’s fourth attempt, which was officially measured at 6.41 metres. AFI has indicated that it intends to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The case highlights the importance of accurate measurement and review procedures in closely contested athletics finals.
