Mumbai Food Waste: 39 Tonnes From Lalbaugcha Raja Turned Into Energy

About 39 tonnes of food leftovers from Lalbaugcha Raja celebrations were diverted from landfill and sent to a biomethanation plant in Sewri.

The BMC initiative converted the organic waste into fuel and energy, which was then used to power a hospital.
