Asian Games 2026: Transport and accommodation problems have remained a significant operational issue at Aichi-Nagoya, with athletes reporting long journeys, delays and difficulties linked to accommodation arrangements.

Reuters reported that organisers apologised after an unexpected increase in participants contributed to logistical pressure. Athletes have been accommodated in hotels, temporary units and other facilities rather than a single traditional athletes’ village.

Indian badminton player H.S. Prannoy also publicly discussed the experience, including concerns about transport and scheduling. Organisers have said they are working to address the problems during the Games.
