US Companies in China Shift Attention Toward Local Competitors as Relations Stabilize

BEIJING, September 29, 2026: U.S. companies operating in China are increasingly focusing on competition from local Chinese businesses as some concerns over bilateral relations ease, according to a South China Morning Post report.

The report cited business-chamber sentiment indicating that geopolitical tensions have become less dominant in companies’ immediate concerns as the two governments pursue additional economic dialogue.
