Summer

Summer brings long sunny days and warm sea temperatures, but it is also a busy period for beaches and tourism.

Autumn

Early autumn can combine warm weather with somewhat quieter conditions than peak summer.

Winter

Winter is milder than much of Europe and can suit cultural sightseeing, although weather can be unsettled at times.

For historic sightseeing and walking, spring and autumn can be comfortable. For swimming and beach holidays, summer is the traditional peak period.
